Safety experts have warned that after June 16, 2011 OSHA will start assessing fines of between $3,000 and $7,000 or more for first time offenders. This new rule applies to residential and light commercial as well as heavy construction. Remember - ignorance of these new rules is not a defense. We are not trying to scare you - we are trying to make you aware. Be prepared, get trained and start complying.
The Home Builders Association of Greater Knoxville is offering training on Tuesday, July 26 at the HBAGK office, 221 Clark St, Knoxville, 37921.
Check in is at 7:45 am. The class starts promptly at 8:00 am and will take approximately 3 hrs plus time for questions and answers. This class is recommended for EVERYONE who works above 6 feet including framers, roofers, plumbers, electricians, gutter installers, etc.
The fee is $40 per member, or $60 for non-members. Advance registration and pre-payment is required. This includes the Fall Protection Handbook in 2 languages.
