The David Stauffer Scholarship is a “matching funds” achievement-based scholarship program administered by the Tennessee Home Builders Foundation.
 
The HBAT and local home builder affiliates, together with its members, are committed to improving the future of the building industry by creating educational opportunities for students throughout the state. The David Stauffer Scholarship is available to all qualifying students across the state of Tennessee.
 
Undergraduates who attend or planning on attending a one, two, or four­ year College or certificate program and studying construction or related fields, are eligible for this scholarship. An HBAT affiliated Home Builder’s Association (HBA) must sponsor the student and guarantee scholarship matching funds. All applicants are responsible for contacting a local Home Building Association Affiliate (HBA) for sponsorship and matching funds information.
 
Student Applicant must submit completed application and applicable attachments to Home Builders Association of Greater Knoxville (HBAGK) by February 21, 2020.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
 
Completed and signed Scholarship Application
 
Scholarship Application must show proof of Admissions Application; or be enrolled in or attending a college, university, junior college or technical/ vocational school – current transcript required
 
A minimum 2.5 GPA or equivalent is required – attach current proof of GPA
 
One letter of recommendation is required. Recommendation from an HBA member of industry professional is preferred
