Candidate Interviews for City Elections

This year there will be two elections in the City of Knoxville: a primary election on September 27 and a regular (also known as a general) election on November 8.  There will be six elective offices on the ballot.

  • Mayor
  • Municipal Judge (unopposed)
  • City Council At-large, Seat A
  • City Council At-large, Seat B
  • City Council At-large, Seat C
  • City Council, District Five (unopposed)

The HBAGK Governmental Affairs Committee will conduct candidate interviews this Tuesday and Thursday to allow our members and candidates the opportunity to discuss issues that affect our industry. Topics will include the MPC Hillside & Ridgetop plan, city development, and codes. Members are encouraged to submit questions for candidates or attend in person if possible. Business dress required. Please RSVP if you plan to attend and arrive by 8:45 AM on days of the interviews.

We are also hosting a Meet the Candidates membership meeting next week at 4:30 pm, Tuesday, August 9 at Calhoun's on the River, admission is only $10.
