Please join us for the 2014 East Tennessee Development Symposium. This two-day event is a powerful platform to network with hundreds of professionals and to share knowledge, lessons learned, and best practices in the development field. Attendees will include land developers, civil and environmental engineers, landscape architects and consultants, professionals from the real estate and banking industries, land use planners, local and state government stormwater managers, policy-makers, administrators and regulators.
Visit with industry experts in the exhibitor hall and chat with them about innovative products designed to help you meet your site development and compliance needs. A vendor list is online. If you are interested in joining that list, contact TNSA.
Throughout the symposium, you will learn about the Runoff Reduction requirement coming on-line for new developments across the state in 2015. Additionally, you will have the chance to hear from local Realtors about the economic benefits of low impact development. Presentation topics include: surveying, planning, design, construction, economics of low impact development, BMP maintenance and regulatory compliance and policies.
This conference has grown over the years from the City of Knoxville's development seminar to a more wide reaching event. In 2013, Knox County partnered with the City of Knoxville to hold the first Tennessee Stormwater Association (TNSA*) East Tennessee Development Symposium. That event attracted over 250 attendees. This year, they are partnering with other East Tennessee municipalities to offer a 2-day conference that we hope doubles in attendance.
