Home Builders Association of Greater Knoxville November Networking Social Brewery tour, beer samples, bratwursts & bbq…need we say more? Sponsored by: Regions Mortgage, Janette Burgin, Loan Officer, cell: 607-1218 & Privett Insurance Group, Val Privett, office: 862-4858
Who doesn’t love a great beer? Where can I get a good local beer in Knoxville? What the heck is this Marble City thing all about? Among the answers to those questions lies the simple and unassuming story of Marble City Brewing Company.
Marble City Brewing Company is a packaging/distributing microbrewery based in Knoxville, Tennessee (the only one of its kind in Knoxville). They have reopened a once-beloved local microbrewery to offer suds lovers a high quality collection of craft beers.
Oh, and the name? Well, you see, Knoxville was once known as Marble City because local quarries supplied vast amounts of marble, particularly Tennessee Pink, to major building projects like the National Gallery of Art and Supreme Court buildings in our nation’s capital. Their logo is adapted from an historical photograph of Jim Lay’s Marble City Saloon.
We hope you are as excited as we are about the launch of the new Marble City Brewing Company. Please join us at “The Quarry”, their meeting room at the brewery for an afternoon of networking with members in a casual, fun setting.
Thursday, November 10, 2011 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm “The Quarry” at Marble City Brewery (Located at 708 East Depot Avenue in the Old City)
