Dr. George A. Spiva was the Phillip Moffitt Distinguished Scholar in Economics at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville prior to his retirement in 1992. Dr. Spiva comes from a banking background and served on the board of his family's bank in Missouri for several years. Professor Spiva teaches introductory economics in the fall semester at UT. He appears occasionally on the A & E Channel and the History Channel on national TV. Don’t miss this important meeting!
