HBA David Stauffer Scholarship Application DEADLINE March 21

We are excited to announce that we are accepting applications on behalf of HBAT for the David Stauffer Student Scholarship. With the urgent need of skilled labor in Tennessee, HBAT hopes that this program will address that need and help bring young workers to the housing industry.

The HBAT and local home builder affiliates, together with its members, are committed to improving the future of the building industry by creating educational opportunities for students, throughout the state. The David Stauffer Scholarship is available to all qualifying students across the state of Tennessee. Undergraduates who attend or planning on attending a one, two, or four­ year College or certificate program and studying construction or related fields, are eligible for this scholarship. An HBAT affiliated Home Builder’s Association (HBA) must sponsor the student and guarantee scholarship matching funds. All applicants are responsible for contacting a local Home Building Association Affiliate (HBA) for sponsorship and matching funds information.

 

• Make sure applications are completed & signed.
• Student needs proof of admission to a school in Tennessee.
• A minimum 2.5 GPA or equivalent is required – (must include current transcript).
• 2 Essays. (One-half page minimum; no longer than one page.)
• Must be enrolled in a construction related curriculum.
• TN resident
