Green Drinks Knoxville is excited to partner with the City, State, and other local groups to celebrate Food Waste Awareness Week with a special event featuring:

BACKYARD COMPOSTING WORKSHOPS
Dr. Chad Hellwinckel (UT) will lead workshops at 12 and 1 PM. $20 registration includes a composter worth $75. Limited space - register early.

COMPOST DROP-OFF
Bring fruit/vegetable scraps, eggshells, nutshells, coffee grounds, and paper coffee filters to contribute to the City's new pilot compost program. 

FOOD WASTE DEMOS and LOCAL RESOURCES
Learn from TDEC, City Waste Office, Nourish Knoxville, Real Good Kitchen, Green Heron Composting, Keep Knoxville Beautiful, Beardsley Farm, and more.

Support neighbors experiencing food insecurity by donating items to a food drive benefitting Ladies of Charity. See below.
