Just Action: Fair Housing Through Policy
April 10, 4PM AT THE KNOXVILLE CONVENTION CENTER
In honor of Fair Housing Month, renowned housing policy expert Leah Rothstein will offer an insight-packed session that reveals how communities can expand housing for everyone through concrete, actionable steps.
Rothstein has more than two decades of housing policy experience as a consultant to governments, affordable housing groups and developers across the country. In 2023 she co-authored Just Action: How to Challenge Segregation Enacted Under the Color of Law with her father, Richard Rothstein, a much-cited Distinguished Fellow of the Economic Policy Institute who is known for his groundbreaking work on the effect of segregation in housing and education. Just Action lays out the framework to guide communities in identifying and removing barriers to housing through better policy decisions.
April is Fair Housing Month, honoring the Fair Housing Act of 1968. East Tennessee REALTORS® believes in fair housing for all and supports equitable and inclusive policies that increase access to housing.

This event will be held in the second floor Lecture Hall at the Knoxville Convention Center, located at 701 Henley Street in Downtown Knoxville.
Parking is available free of charge at the Poplar Lot, just across Cumberland Avenue from the Convention Center at 906 Poplar Street.
