SUMMARY:Green Drinks Knoxville's Happy Hour
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the almost-first-day-of-spring with a timely talk about nature!\n\n\n\nHear from Lucas Coe-Starr (the Oak Ridge Bird Man) about wildlife habitat management at household and community scales. This month we're headed to Geezers Brewery to enjoy their selection of rotating taps - including Green Drink organizer Ariel's new favorite beer\, Goodbyes Aren't Forever.\n\n \n\n	\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n The Speaker\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n\nLucas Coe-Starr is an ornithologist and TWS Certified Wildlife Biologist based in Oak Ridge\, TN. He's worked with wildlife his entire life: he got his first job by "casually picking up a few snakes in front of the right people"\, then got his bachelor's from Maryville College and master's from the University of New Haven. Since then he's been traveling the world chasing birds (mostly keeping them away from airplanes)\, until moving back home to Oak Ridge a few years ago.\n\n\n\nHe channeled his passion and expertise into a business: Oak Ridge Bird Man. Now Lucas designs and 3d prints bird feeders and nest boxes\, makes birdfeed mixes\, and advises people on the best ways to take care of their local feathered wildlife. \n\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n\n\n\nThe Venue\n\nIn 2010\, a couple of friends who shared the love of mountain biking\, trail running\, and craft beer started home brewing in a basement with the goal of one day no longer "working for the Man." That home brew equipment has now grown into a 15 barrel production system\, a taproom\, and wide spread distribution throughout Knox County.\n\n\n\nThey called themselves "The Geezers" because in everything they were involved in\, they always seemed to be the token old guys. The hope was to encourage everyone to enjoy everyday\, for everyone to realize the greatest gift is to one day get to grow old and enjoy being a Geezer
