SUMMARY:Green Drinks Knoxville's Happy Hour
DESCRIPTION:Summer days are nearly behind us but we've got a great speaker as we shift gears into the cooler months of Fall (pun definitely intended). Join us for this month's BYOB event at DreamBikes in the Old City.\n\n\n\nDreamBikes is a nonprofit organizations that places used bicycle stores in low-to-moderate income neighborhoods to provide hands-on\, paid job training to teens. Working in conjunction with local youth organizations\, DreamBikes employs teens from the area to work in the store\; teaching them how to refurbish bicycles\, use the POS software\, and to deliver great customer service. DreamBikes provides lifelong skills to our teen employees\, helping them to find a bright future.\n\n\n\nOur guest speaker and host this week is Mitchell Connell. Mitchell is the general manager of DreamBikes Knoxville. He helped open the non-profit in 2016 and has been training youth and building bikes since then. Mitchell began working in the bicycle industry more than 10 years ago\, and he has worked with The Oasis Center\, Halcyon Bike Shop\, REI\, The City of Knoxville\, and DreamBikes. Mitchell is passionate about bicycles as a tool for social change and transportation\, but he rides bikes for fun too.\n\n\n\nGrab a six pack hop on a bike and join us at DreamBikes!
