DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Happy Hour filled to the rim with a heavy pour of enviro-centric conversation garnished with your favorite adult beverages.\n\n\n\nThe Topic:\n\n\n\nOur annual EarthFest Green Drinks is happening again! Come learn about what you can expect at EarthFest 2019 on Saturday\, April 20th and get a sneak peak of some of the amazing local artists that will be featured.\n\n\n\nEarthFest is an annual Earth Day celebration with several green objectives: provide family-friendly (pets included) environmental education\, support our sustainable local marketplace\, showcase responsible environmental leadership\, and demonstrate low- to zero-waste principles.\n\n\n\nThis is EarthFest's 20th year anniversary! To celebrate\, the theme is 20/20 Vision. This theme hopes to explore ways Knoxville and EarthFest has engaged in sustainable practices for the past twenty years\, as well as showcase what sustainability in the area will look like in the next 20 years. We are hoping to bring local leaders\, small businesses\, and corporations to share their vision or their products that will help 2020 look greener. \n\n\n\nBONUS: Share your 2020 Vision by bringing your old pair of sunglasses or regular glasses to Green Drinks o be recycled or reused at EarthFest!\n\n\n\nThe Host:\n\n\n\nCome and explore North Knox's best kept secret! Founded in 2015\, Broadway Studios and Gallery is the brainchild of Knoxville artist Jessica Gregory\, and has grown into an artist colony of 11 individual art and fine craft studios featuring painting\, photography\, sculpture\, corn shuck dolls\, mixed media\, jewelry\, metalsmithing (jewelry)\, quilting\, stained glass\, Ukrainian eggs\, and handmade herbal skin care products.\n\n\n\nThey have new art exhibits every month showcasing the work of local artists\, First Friday Opening receptions\, and four times a year we host an Open Show with a theme. They operate a retail shop on premises with original works of our resident artists\, and offer classes and workshops in a variety of media. Their retail shop and gallery is open to the public every Friday and Saturday from 10-6\, by appointment\, and any other time the "open" sign is on!\n\n\n\nThis is a BYOB event so be sure to bring your favorite six pack or bottle with you!
