For those who may be unfamiliar with the BAH concept we basically gather at a designated location after work and everyone pays as they go - but you are welcome to treat another member to a snack or drink! It is convenient to all of West Knoxville\, as well as Oak Ridge and Maryville\, via the Pellissippi Parkway. In 1983\, the first Calhoun's\, a big barn-like structure\, opened in West Knoxville as a tribute to the agricultural roots and great barbecue traditions of Eastern Tennessee. Within a year of its opening\, the restaurant's signature hickory smoked baby-back ribs won the title of Best Ribs in America at the prestigious National Rib Cook-Off.
